This solid jobs report is due to one factor: President Trump’s reelection. The Republican victory has renewed confidence among Main Street job creators. The tough economic times of the Biden-Harris administration are ending, and the strong Trump economy is returning.
Foreign workers have gained tremendously in the job market as native-born Americans continue to fall out of the workforce on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s watch, the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report shows.
A federal judge is blocking, in 17 states, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s administration from imposing a new rule that gives collective bargaining rights to foreign farm workers while American farm workers are excluded.
“Reports show that upwards of half the job gains under Biden have come from illegal immigrants, which belies a far weaker economy than Democrats want you to believe,” committee chairman Jodey Arrington said in a statement. “Biden’s illegal immigrant crisis has conveniently served as a ‘two-for’ – shoring up his vote tally and padding his dismal unemployment numbers.”
Americans consistently voice their disapproval on the state of the economy in recent polls, largely because of the stratospheric cost of living. But apologists for the Biden administration point to the low unemployment rate of 3.9% in April as proof of the economy’s strength.
Yet this is a hollow talking point, since the real unemployment rate is likely between 6.5% and 7.7%.
Employment for native-born Americans has been in decline over the past four years. This means that all of the job gains have gone to foreign-born workers, including both legal and illegal immigrants.
Much of the purportedly “great” economy that President Joe Biden touted last night in his State of the Union address is attributable to government spending and looser than prudent monetary policy putting too much money into the economy. It is reflected in the lingering inflation numbers.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics calculated that 1,121,500 jobs were created over this period, while the Philly Fed found that the economy added just 10,500 jobs.
Recession fears have been paramount for the last several months. However, now that the United States has slipped into a technical recession—back-to-back negative GDP readings—workers might be trying to secure employment before the economic downturn amplifies, says Bryce Doty, the senior portfolio manager at Sit Investment Associates.
