A GENERATION ago, almost none of us would have balked at the phrase ‘our precious democracy’. The differing approaches from Labour in the 1970s through Thatcher, Blair and Brown proved that those in power had levers to pull and enact change. We might not have liked some of the results, but to say there was not the opportunity to kick out the bad was plainly absurd.
But what was the response? Did this remarkable speech prompt the MSM into reporting the great unspoken issue of the year, vaccine injury? The tragedy is that it did not. It mirrored the empty chamber.
The incoming PM has no choice but to be bold if they are to save the country, and indeed their party, from devastation at the hands of a poorly advised leadership who were unable to cope with the equivalent of a flu epidemic.
