The rally was held in Uniondale, a city on Republican-leaning Long Island in the deep-blue state of New York. Long Island is home to several highly competitive congressional districts that could determine control of the House in the next Congress.
The Republican former president drew thousands of fans to an area where Democrats said he was “unwelcome.”
Despite being held in a state that has been reliably Democrat, a rally for the Republican former president set a record for New Jersey, a congressman said.
“Justice For All” reached the top of Billboard’s Digital Songs Sales chart last week. It also reached number one on the iTunes chart before it was temporarily removed from the platform, Patel told Breitbart News. A senior Apple executive blamed the removal on”miscommunication” in an explanation to Patel.
“The abuses of power we are seeing in our government will go down as some of the most depraved and corrupt in history,” Trump said near the beginning of the rally, a likely reference both to the plight of Jan. 6 defendants and ongoing GOP investigations into the “weaponization” of the federal government.
Supporters of former President Donald Trump opposed the idea of any other Republican candidate running for the White House in 2024.
