Ed Martin, a top attorney for Jan. 6 defendants, told The Epoch Times in a phone call that the narrative pushed by the committee should be taken with a great deal of scrutiny.
“It’s a political argument, that they’re making not a legal argument and when they stray into legalese they’re really misleading the public,” Martin ruled.
“In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena,” Democrat Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson wrote in a letter to Trump’s attorney, CNN reported.
The January 6 special committee on Wednesday decided to withdraw its subpoena of former President Trump as it concludes its work.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) recently stated the committee will “scrub” some evidence containing personal identifiable information. But is personal identifiable information the only evidence that will be redacted?
