California Supreme Court ruled on Nov. 15 to toss out the state’s lawsuit against Huntington Beach’s voter ID law, but they expect the state attorney general to continue fighting it.
State Assemblymember Bill Essayli, R-Corona, introduced a failed amendment to the bill, SB 1174, that would have explicitly banned undocumented immigrants from voting.
“Yet, we have seen in the state of Georgia, by example, anti-voter laws, laws that have limited drop boxes and made it illegal to even provide food and water to people standing in line for hours,” Harris said. But getting into her rally required valid ID.
A majority of Americans support voter ID and only citizens voting, as Democrats fight against such policy measures.
The Federalist asked GOP election officials if they will follow suit and reject voter registration forms collected by federal agents.
The debate over voter ID typically centers on the need to prove we are who we say we are when we vote, which is obviously very important. But voter ID can and should also be used to prove we live where we say we live.
